Acne Tips: What Is The Fastest Way To Get Rid Of A Zit?

If you’re reading this you are probably desperate for a solution to an unexpected zit! Never fear, there is a way to get rid of it!

Before starting, make sure you have an acne face wash, access to either ice cubes or a steaming hot washcloth, and a benzoyl peroxide (or salicylic acid) acne spot treatment.

Wash your face extremely well with an acne cleanser (or at the very least, soap will do). Make sure to real scrub your skin with the tips of your fingers in order to remove any unwanted bacteria and oil.

–Now you need to assess what kind of zit you have. This will determine how you will perform the remainder of the steps. If you have a pimple that has broken the surface of your skin and is white on top or oozing gross goo, you will need to use HOT water for the next step. But if you have a zit that has not broken the skin and is just a red or sore inflammation use an ICE pack for the next step.

Want to know why this works? The ice will freeze your zit before it can make it to the surface of your skin. For those of you who have zits that have already broken the skin, the hot water kills and forces out all the bad bacteria that forms inside of your pimple that makes it red and inflamed.

–This is what you’ll do: Firmly press either the ice pack or hot washcloth to the affected area. You will need to do this for a minimum of 30 minutes for the hot wash cloth method, and 10 minutes for the ice pack method. Its important to be sure that your hot water doesn’t get luke warm, so keep re-soaking your wash cloth in steaming hot water every few minutes.

You’re almost done now! Gently pat your skin dry with a towel, and then apply your benzoyl peroxide acne treatment cream to your zit.

–Ok, now just repeat this process again in 4 hours! After one full day and 3-4 applications, your zit will be gone! Awesome!
