There are a number of ways on how to prevent spots, some are natural remedies and some are medicated or subscribed by a doctor.

There is a particular stage in our lives when we are more prone to spots or acne break outs. The age is between 13-19 when our bodies hormones start to happen.

Though it is still possible to have spots beyond the late teens, some people suffer from acne there whole lives. The most common place spots are likely to occur are the face, kneck, chest and higher part of the back across the shoulder blades.

It can take many attempts to find the right method that works for you. As one technique does not work the same for everyone this can take some time so patience is needed.

Being a teenager, stress and washing too much are all simple reasons why we could suffer from spots or acne. Though the reasons for one person may not be the same for the other person.

Next is a list of possible things you could do on how to prevent spots. Toothpaste is a great way to dry the effected area out. Your normal toothpaste you use on a day to day basis is fine. Just ensure the area is covered thoroughly. The best time to do this is before going to bed, this helps it to sink in over night.

This next one may sound odd but washing too often can cause skin irritation leading to spots or even acne breakouts, this is because all the natural oils produced by the skin are being washed away. An individual only needs to wash there face once in the morning and if needed once in the evening too or after a workout.

Not every method will work as our skin reacts differently to different techniques and products.

Finally the last possible way on how to prevent spots is by exfoliating on a regular basis. This will decrease the number of blackheads formed on the skin. If however exfoliators are too rough for your skin look for a gentle one or mix some cleansing cream to it to soften it on the skin.
